Building a Safer, Stronger and More Connected Fuquay-Varina
Vote Nov. 4 •  Re-Elect Blake Massengill, Mayor Fuquay-Varina

Fuquay-Varina is a fantastic place to live because of our people, growing small businesses and quality of life improvements like new parks and better roads. Since 2021, I’ve been honored to serve as your mayor, working to keep our town vibrant and strong. If you’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together, please vote Blake Massengill for a third term and let’s keep moving forward.

TRAFFIC & TRANSPORTATION

Congestion Management · Walkable Neighborhoods

With federal, state and local funding, more than $63 million has been invested in infrastructure projects—including completed upgrades and future investments—to ease congestion, upgrade major intersections, widen roads, and optimize traffic signals for safer commutes.

Additional major projects are forthcoming through grants and our partnerships with the Department of Transportation.

ECONOMIC
GROWTH

Drive business recruitment, enhance mixed-use and retail development. More jobs, new businesses, and low taxes are top priorities. The goal remains to return Fuquay-Varina to a 50/50 commercial/residential tax base. With each vote and decision, ask first!“What is the benefit to the citizens of Fuquay-Varina? Is this a good use of the taxpayer dollar?”

TOWN
SERVICES

Fuquay-Varina earned the distinction of North Carolina’s safest small town in both 2023 and 2024. A new fire station was constructed, and police officers are now present in every school, reinforcing continued emphasis on police and fire safety for all residents.

Significant resources have also been devoted to enhancing core town services. Improvements in water and sewer infrastructure, ongoing investments in utilities, as well as trash and recycling services.

GROW TWO

DOWNTOWNS

Support revitalization in both downtowns. Help small businesses to thrive while creating a welcoming atmosphere. Commercial development increases the tax base without stressing infrastructure, and retail districts are key to our small business owners.

QUALITY

OF LIFE

Opened Hilltop Needmore Town Park Community Center with a dedicated senior space. Greenways and parks will continue to expand, giving all residents more ways to get outdoors.

Created more jobs, established a vibrant Social District, expanded shopping and dining options, and added more concerts and events—making Fuquay-Varina an outstanding community in which to live.

About Blake

Blake Massengill, one of Wake County’s youngest mayors, was elected to lead Fuquay-Varina in 2021 and is now seeking his third term. Deeply rooted in the community since childhood, Massengill, 41, started his municipal service on the Town Planning Board, later joining the Town Board in 2013 and serving as Mayor Pro Tempore for six years before becoming mayor.

ENDORSEMENTS

“I wholeheartedly support Blake Massengill to  continue to serve a third term as Mayor of Fuquay-Varina. His experience as a town commissioner and planning board member gives him a unique insight into how local government functions. He has served me and our Town Board very well as Mayor Pro-Tem for  6 yrs.

I’ve seen firsthand how Blake’s leadership has grown. He has the ability to work as a team to broker reasonable compromises to achieve the best result for the citizens of Fuquay-Varina, and that’s what a mayor must do. The mayor is not a standalone job – the mayor must work with the commissioners to negotiate consensus and meet challenges."

John Byrne, Former Mayor Fuquay-Varina
